In 2020, the Festival of Pray for Rain has been organized together with the Event of Fingerling Release for recovering Aquatic Resources in the Song Tranh 2 hydropower reservoir.

Making speech at the event, Mr. Thai Hoang Vu - Deputy Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of People’s Committee of Bac Tra My district, said that it was a very meaningful activity, not only recovering the aquatic resources in the reservoir for the local people to improve the life’s quality but also propagandizing to raise awareness among the local people of the role of reservoir in order to protect the reservoir and properly exploit the aquatic resources, but not extirpate them.
Mr. Vu Duc Toan – Director of Song Tranh Hydropower Company said that the fingerling releasing is annually activity of the company, contributing to maintain and sustainably develop the aquatic resources for Song Tranh 2 hydropower reservoir. Since 2014, there has been about 250,000 fingerlings released into the reservoir. Therefore, the fish yield of local people has been improved annually, especially sesame, carp, tilapia, etc.
Donating the bicycles for poor-but-studious pupils in Bac Tra My district
Song Tranh 2 hydropower reservoir covers the surface area of 2,100 hectares and many aquatic resources. However, because of the change in water environment and flows, there is a signal of reduction in the aquatic variety.
Under the framework of the event, EVNGENCO1, Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Company and some kind-hearted units in Quang Nam province and Da Nang city have donated 40 bicycles for poor-but-studious pupils in Bac Tra My district.
