The project "Undergrounding the power grid in Thanh An island commune, Can Gio district" is implemented synchronously with technical infrastructure works such as undergrounding the lighting and telecommunications system, renovating the D1 route on Phu Loi Islet, Thanh An island commune. The project plays an important role in ensuring the safety of the power grid, the reliability of the power supply, and improving the beauty of the commune.

The project is scaled at a total investment of more than VND30 billion, including main items such as: excavating and re-establishing 9.1km of cable ditches, pulling more than 10km of main axis low-voltage underground cables, installing 126 new low-voltage distribution cabinets along the routes and pull more than 17km of underground cables with all kinds to supply power to households. At the same time, Duyen Hai Power Company also coordinated to replace of galvanometers with telemetry functions for all customers on the island commune to ensure smooth signal transmission.
The underground work completed and put into use not only helps limit the bad effects of bad weather phenomena such as tropical depressions, thunderstorms, etc., to the power supply to serve the people's daily life and production needs; but it is also the first project of undergrounding the power grid and communication wire system on the islands of the country, making an important contribution to ensuring the beauty and economic - political security for the city and the country as a whole.
