Completing and upgrading capacity of Tra Vinh 220kV substation

AT1 transformer of Tra Vinh 220kV substation was upgraded with capacity from 125MVA to 250MVA. The Southern Viet Nam Power Projects Management Board (SPMB) conducted checking, acceptance took over and energized the project.

220kV-250MVA AT1 transformer at Tra Vinh 220kV substation was successfully energized on October 14, 2018

The work is invested by National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) with over VND 33 billion and SPMB is on behalf for operation and management.

Tra Vinh 220kV substation (Ba Se hamlet, Luong Hoa commune, Chau Thanh district, Tra Vinh province) is operating with 2 220kV transformers with respectively capacity of 250MVA and 125MVA.

Upgrading the capacity of this substation will contribute to improve the reliability of power supply to the loads in Tra Vinh province. Additionally, this will strengthen the connection of regional power system, improve the operational safety, reliability and stability of the power system.

The work is also under the Project of “Upgrading the capacity of Tra Vinh, Ca Mau 220kV substations and Installing 110kV bays for Ben Tre 220 kV substation” of EVNNPT.
