In the first 4 months of 2019, PVGAS sufficiently met the gas demand for electricity generation, exceeding the requirements set by the Ministry of Industry and Trade at Order No. 05/CT-BCT dated January 30, 2019. All maintenance and repair works have been completed as planned, thanks to a close coordination between the Corporation and the National Load Dispatch Center of EVN, the gas supply for electricity production has not been affected.
As for EVN, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan, the President and CEO, said that the electricity demand is increasing (the current electricity demand is about 220 billion kWh, which is expected to double in the next 7 years), meanwhile gas resource for electricity generation is on the decline, EVN insists on PVGAS’ further efforts to ensure gas supply for electricity generation.
Therefore, the two parties have set up a common working group to collaborate and support in gas supply, gas receiving, to discuss and agree on related issues before reporting to competent authorities.
