Participants in the drill program in Vietnam were members of the National Cyber Incident Response Network (NCIRN), information technology units of ministries, departments, branches, central agencies, provinces and cities nationwide.
As a member of the NCIRN, Electricity of Vietnam attended the program with online stations from EVN’s headquarters and units under EVN. In which, a team of information technology engineers from EVN Information and Communication Technology Company (EVNICT), The National Power System Dispatch Center (A0) and the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) gathered at the EVN online station to directly participate in the drill.
The bridge at EVN headquarters participates in the annual ASEAN - Japan international drill program in 2022.
This year, the drill program was held with the theme "Coordination in handling attacks via the VPN network on Government systems and ransomware attacks on health authorities".
This is an activity that makes a practical contribution to improving the incident response capacity of members of NCIRN. For EVN, this program creates favorable conditions for practicing and drilling, contributes to improving the capacity to coordinate and respond to incidents, understand the handling process, how to contact, coordinate and share information with NCIRN when similar situations occur in reality.
The annual ASEAN - Japan international drill program is an activity held since 2013 with the participation of ASEAN countries and Japan.
The drill scenario is built on the basis of actual cyber attacks that have occurred, and based on the latest trends in technology and potential threats. Thereby, the drill helps share information and enhance cyber cooperation among ASEAN members and Japan.
