The delegation of EVNHCMC also visited SP Group's power grid backup and control center; a 400kV high-tech substation; SP Digital (SP Group's digital solutions developer); SP Group's V2G (Vehicle to Grid) model - a technology that allows energy stored in the batteries of electric cars to be sent back to the grid when needed.
Since 2021, EVNHCMC has discussed and cooperated with SP Group to share and learn from experience in building smart grids.
In 2021, according to the evaluation and ranking results of the smart grid index performed by SP Group, EVNHCMC scores 67.9/100 points, ranks 53rd out of 86 power companies in 37 countries around the world having smart grids. EVNHCMC also stands in the top 2 power utilities in ASEAN countries.
