Quality affirmation
For the 500kV North-South transmission line project, circuit 1, PECC1 was in charge of the design works. This is the first 500kV super high voltage AC power transmission line in Vietnam with a total length of 1,487km. It is considered to be the backbone of Vietnam's power system, serving as a premise for the unified connection of the power grid in 3 regions at 500kV voltage. In this project, EVNPECC1 was honored to be awarded the Second-class Independence Medal and the First-class Labor Medal by the Party and State.
The company also keeps the leading position in the field of coal-fired power design consultancy. It is the first unit to apply circulating fluidized bed boiler technology to Na Duong, Cao Ngan, Cam Pha 1 and 2 Thermal power plant projects, especially Mong Duong 1 Thermal power plant project. Presently, EVNPECC1 is the first firm to prepare Technical Design reports for all items of LNG projects in Vietnam including Nhon Trach 3 and 4 thermal power plants.
For hydropower projects, EVNPECC1 has continuously received satisfaction from the Clients, as well as high appreciation from the Ministries, Departments and International Associations, which is shown through awards such as the Golden Award of "Asian Energy in 2013" for the design of Son La Hydropower plant project; "High Quality Works in 2016" Award for the "Design Contractor" awarded by the Ministry of Construction and "Typical Works" Award by the Asian Construction Coordinating Council for the Consulting Design of Lai Chau Hydropower plant project; In 2018, the International Federation of Consulting Engineers – FIDIC selected and awarded the Huoi Quang hydropower design award as the first underground power plant designed by EVNPECC1.
Presently, key consulting projects have been focused on the development including Hoa Binh Extension hydropower projects, Ialy Extension hydropower projects, Tanahu Hydropower project in Nepal, etc., 500kV Monsoon – Thach My Transmission line; 500kV Lao Cai substation and connected transmission lines, 500kV West Hanoi – Vinh Yen transmission line, 500kV Bac Ninh substation and connection.
In recent years, along with the world development trend, EVNPECC1 has focused its resources on the renewable energy field with more than 135 projects with a total capacity of over 21,000MW with the significant contribution of the EVNPECC1 engineers.
EVNPECC1 is also a pioneer in designing waste-to-energy power plants and participating in important stages of projects such as the most modern Vietnamese Vietstar waste-to-energy power plant in Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh city; the largest waste-to-energy plant in Southeast Asia in Soc Son… Presently, EVNPECC1 is assigned by EVN to the task of preparing a Study report to assess the possibility of developing offshore wind power in the North.

Cooperation commitment toward the future
In the recent General Meeting of Shareholders in 2022, General Director of EVNPECC1 – Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh said: EVNPECC1 shall, in the future, continue to promote exploiting the traditional market as well as an emerging market which is potential for strong development, at the same time, focus on renovating the management mechanism, improving the consulting capacity to meet the increasing requirements from national and international clients and investors.
The company shall also continue to expand the national and international markets, develop sustainably, and enhance trademark value, professionalization and modernization of the engineering consulting fields of energy, industry and technical infrastructure and focus on developing resources for the projects' implementation in the power planning VIII.
In addition, EVNPECC1 has also developed a plan to implement digital transformation based on EVN's Digital Transformation project. The company's leadership has actively mobilized its resources to effectively apply digital transformation in the production and business activities to bring benefits to customers, employees, shareholders and the country.
