108,204 participants engage in learning about energy saving in response to Earth Hour 2025

The online contest "Understanding Energy Saving in Response to Earth Hour 2025", held from 8:00 AM on March 8, 2025, to 12:00 PM on March 28, 2025, has officially concluded. In a short period, the contest attracted 108,204 participants and had 146,192 contest attempts.

As part of the Vietnam National Energy Efficiency Program for the 2019-2030 period (VNEEP3), and to enhance public awareness of energy efficiency, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the online contest "Understanding Energy Saving in Response to Earth Hour 2025". The contest was co-organized by Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and Daikin Vietnam.

The contest aimed to diversify communication methods, strengthen media campaigns to promote knowledge on energy efficiency, electricity savings, and environmental protection; raise public awareness of the importance of saving energy and protecting the environment; and respond to Earth Hour 2025.

The contest focused on questions exploring knowledge about energy policies, energy labels, energy efficiency, electricity savings, best practices for saving energy, safe and efficient electricity use, and Earth Hour.

The competition attracted participation from individuals and organizations across various fields and industries, including the electricity sector, healthcare, textiles, government agencies, residents, students, teachers, and staff from high schools, colleges, and universities.

The online contest "Understanding Energy Saving in Response to Earth Hour 2025" was divided into three rounds and was hosted on the online platform at https://cuocthi2025.tietkiemnangluong.com.vn/.

Numerous organizations have made significant contributions to the contest, including Quang Binh Power Company, Hue Power Company, Bac Lieu Power Company, Dong Nai Power Company, Son La Power Company, Da Nang Power One-Member Limited Liability Company, Ninh Kieu Tax Department (Can Tho), Dinh Hoa Kindergarten (Kim Son, Ninh Binh), etc. Notably, in Round II, 4 out of 5 top participants were EVN employees.

According to the statistics from the Organizing Committee, as of 12:00 PM on March 28, 2025 (the end of Phase III), a total of 108,204 participants had joined the competition, with the total number of contest attempts reaching 146,192. Specifically, Phase I recorded 36,258 participants with 51,250 attempts; Phase II had 22,487 participants with 35,399 attempts. In Phase III of the competition (from 8:00 AM on March 22, 2025, to 12:00 PM on March 28, 2025), a total of 49,279 participants answered the questions, with the total number of contest attempts reaching 60,192.
