Energizing Chu Se 220kV substation and connection (Gia Lai)

At 9:50 am on August 1, in Gia Lai, the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) coordinated with relevant units to organize the acceptance and energization of the Chu Se 220kV substation and connection project.

Chu Se 220kV substation and connection lines

This is a grade I, group B electrical industrial project, invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), managed and operated by CPMB, design consultancy provided by Power Construction Consultant Joint Stock Company No. 4, received and operated by Power Transmission Company No. 3. The project has been implemented since the end of 2019, in Ia Pal commune, Chu Se district, Gia Lai province.

The project consists of a new construction scale of 220/110/22kV substation, installed capacity of 2x125MVA as planned, in this phase, a 125MVA transformer is installed in advance. The 220kV branch section includes 2 circuits, about 0.39km long, connected to the existing 220kV Pleiku 2 - Krong Buk line.

Within the project's scope, the following items were also performed, including replacing lightning conductors with those combined with optical cables on the existing 220kV Pleiku 2 - Krong Buk transmission line and strengthening the suspension of lightning conductors at some columns to share single-phase short-circuit currents.

The completion of the project plays an important role in ensuring power supply for Gia Lai province and surrounding areas; collecting renewable energy sources in the region for transmission to the national electricity grid; reducing the maximum power loss of the regional power grid and improving the 110kV grid voltage in the locality.
