According to Tien Giang Power Company, in the first 4 months of 2024, load demand experienced a strong recovery, power sales increased sharply, and the peak capacity reached 667.2MW, an increase of 11.72% over the same period; the load curve in 2024 has had a large shift compared to the same period in 2023 due to an increase in industrial, seasonal production, three-shift production customers.
The total installed capacity of rooftop solar power systems is 62.17MWp, the accumulated generation output in the first 4 months of 2024 is 21.56 million kWh, and the maximum capacity transmitted to the grid is about 49.7 MW. In addition, in Tien Giang province there is Tan Phu Dong Wind Power Plant with a capacity of 150MW, the project’s power generation follows dispatching orders and generation diagrams by the National Power Load Dispatch Center, etc.

Implementing the Prime Minister's Directive on enhancing electricity savings in the period 2023 - 2025 and the following years, in the 2024 electricity supply plan, Tien Giang Power Company has developed an electricity supply plan for 2024 by months, year and an electricity supply plan to respond to imbalances in supply and demand in the power system.
In 2024, the Southern Power Corporation temporarily assigned a construction investment plan to Tien Giang Power Company with a total budget of VND 333.6 billion. Tien Giang Power Company is trying their best to complete the plan assigned by the Corporation. Tien Giang Power Company has asked the Provincial People's Committee to request industrial park management boards and large customers to periodically provide full information on their load development needs, operational performance, occupancy rate of industrial parks, industrial clusters, service urban areas, high-tech parks, etc. so that the power sector can promptly develop appropriate plans and scenarios to ensure power supply in each period, and proactively develop investment implementation plans.

In the coming time, the power sector will carry out planning and investment in power supply projects, including double-circuit 110kV transmission line from Can Duoc 220kV Substation - Can Duoc 110kV - Go Cong - My Tho 220kV Substation (hanging 1 circuit at first); Tan My Chanh 110kV Substation and connection lines; Chau Thanh 110kV Substation and connection lines; 110kV feeder of Go Cong 220kV Substation; 110kV feeder of Cai Be 220kV Substation (at Tan Phuoc district), double-circuit line connecting to My Tho 2 - Tan Huong - Long An transmission line; 110kV feeder of Cai Be 220kV Substation (at Tan Phuoc district), a 4-circuit connection line on 2-circuit line Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park - 110kV Substation Tan Phuoc - Phu Cuong - My Hoi - My Thuan, etc.
