The Corporation has established a steering committee to ensure power supply in the Northern region for the period of 2021-2025, holding monthly meetings to propose solutions and drastically implement them. Accordingly, EVNNPC will focus on speeding up and ensuring the progress of investment projects to build the power grids; proactively capturing information from the National Load Dispatch Center to develop a communication plan, working with local authorities and major customers to reasonably organize production; analyzing the load demand in each area, each locality to build the most optimal plan, and so on.
Mr. Truong Hoang Vu, General Director of Power Generation Corporation 2 (EVNGENCO 2):
Continuing to promote digital transformation
To realize the task set in 2022, right from the end of 2021, the corporation has requested hydropower companies to both operate to ensure the normal water level rise of the reservoirs and ensure power supply in the dry season. In addition, the corporation has also developed drastic policies on personnel, equipment, bidding plans, and contractor selection to ensure the major repair work is performed on schedule and with high quality and safe and continuous operation of the units after the overhaul.
In 2022, EVNGENCO 2 will ensure power supply in the dry season; perform major repair work on schedule and continue to promote digital transformation, piloting a number of digital transformation solutions in member units, typically the solution "Building smart production management software". Siemens XHQ" at A Vuong Hydropower Joint Stock Company. In the coming time, it will be widely applied to all plants of the corporation. At the same time, the Center will propose EVN and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to synchronously amend circulars on power transmission, distribution, dispatching, electricity market, etc., to ensure the operation of the power system and electricity market when the percentage of renewable energy increases; at the same time, define a new model for dispatching power systems on a very large scale (TOP 1 in ASEAN and TOP 20 in the world); continue to upgrade and renovate the information technology infrastructure of the power system and electricity market to meet the requirements in the new situation.
The Center promotes the application of science and technology, digital technology, and improves governance as well as the quality of human resources to ensure effective operation when converted into the model of the one-member company limited.
