An additional 330 households in the mountainous district of Que Phong access the national power grid just before Tet

Nghe An Power Company has just energized substations that distribute national grid electricity for people in Dong Tien village, Dong Van commune and Muong Phu village, Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district (Nghe An province).

Dong Tien substation has a scale of construction 115m of medium-voltage lines, 1,200m of low-voltage lines, 01 transformer with a total capacity of 31.5kVA, supplying power to 63 households in Dong Tien village, Dong Van commune.

Muong Phu substation, Thong Thu commune has a scale of construction 3.28km of medium-voltage lines, 4.68km of low-voltage lines, 01 transformer with a capacity of 100-35/0.4kVA, supplying power to 267 households.

These are works under the construction investment project of national grid power supply for rural in Nghe An province in the period 2015-2020, with a divergence in 2021.

Mr. Le Dai Nghia - Director of Quy Chau PC said: "This is the concern of the Party, the State and the Power sector for ethnic minorities in remote and extremely difficult areas. In 2022, Quy Chau PC will strive to bring electricity to 100% of villages in the district.”

Currently, in Nghe An province, there are still 115 highland villages and hamlets that haven’t access the national power grid in the districts of Quy Chau, Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Que Phong, Quy Hop, and Thanh Chuong. The Power Sector is continuing to coordinate with the authorities at all levels in setting up investment projects, urging contractors to speed up the construction progress to bring electricity to the remaining villages. It is expected that in 2022, 76 more villages and hamlets will be able to use the national grid.
