Releasing 160 thousand fish seeds into Dong Nai 3, 4 hydropower reservoirs

On 27 August 2018, Dong Nai Hydropower Company (under Power Generation Corporation No. 1) released 16,000 fish seeds to the Dong Nai 3 and Dong Nai 4 hydropower reservoirs (located in 2 provinces of Lam Dong and Dak Nong) to supplement and regenerate aquatic resources for areas of reservoir bed.

Such types of fish seeds released as: hypophthalmichthys, major carp, carp, tilapia, etc., are all highly adaptable kinds that can properly grow up in the natural environment.

Mr. Pham Van Cuc - Director of Dong Nai Hydropower Company said that it is the annual activity of the Company for recovering indigenous fish species in parallel with developing commercial fish species, protecting biodiversity as well as preventing organic pollution and over-development of aquatic species.

This activity also contributes to replicate the model of socialization in releasing fish seeds for reproduction of aquatic resources for the locality.
