After the field visit, EVN’s Chairman Duong Quang Thanh praised Chuong My Power Company (under Hanoi Power Corporation) for their efforts to restore the electricity supply to people after floods.
The leader of EVN reminded subsidiaries of ensuring an absolute safety for the people during the restoration process, and not restoring electricity supply in areas where safety conditions are yet to be met.

In the morning of October 21, 2012, EVN’s Chairman Duong Quang Thanh handed over 200 gifts from EVN to the people of Tan Tien and Nam Phuong Tien communes with a total value of VND 100 million. EVN also donated VND 50 million to Tan Tien and Nam Phuong Tien communes to contribute to overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in these communes.
The heavy rains from October 9 – 12, 2017 raised the water level of Bui River and caused flooding to 1,185 households in some lowland communes of Chuong My district. Due to unsafe conditions, the supply of electricity to people was interrupted. As of 10h00 on October 21, 2017, 69 among 1,185 customers have not been resupplied electricity yet.
EVN’s Chairman Duong Quang Thanh paid a visit to the people, desiring to gain the people’s understanding and sharing with difficulties of the power sector in the process of recovering the consequences of natural disasters.
Over the past few days, Chuong My Power Company has mobilized 100% of its employees to be on duty, dismantling electrical equipment exposing to flooding threats, isolating substations and power grids in flooded areas to secure the safety for people and power grids. The company coordinates with local authorities at all levels to communicate and guide people to stay away from dangerous areas to prevent electric shocks, and supports heavily affected families.
