Vinh O Preschool and Vinh O Primary School are located in the mountainous area of Vinh Linh District, with extremely difficult socio-economic conditions. There are currently 40 staffs and teachers working at the two schools, most of them live far from home, they previously faced many difficulties when the schools had no civil service house.
EVN donated VND 350 million (from the Social Support Fund of Vietnam Electricity Group, managed by Vietnam Electricity’s Labour Union) for contributing to create more favorable conditions to help staffs and teachers of the schools properly keep their mind on working and perform their tasks - said Mr. Do Duc Hung, Deputy Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Labour Union.
The work of civil service house was completed after nearly 5 months of construction, with an area of about 100m2, including 3 rooms and an indoor toilet area. Quang Tri Power Company (under the Central Power Corporation) will provide financial support for installing electric equipment and upgrading the power source to meet the requirements for learning, living of the Schools.
Attending the inauguration event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong - Deputy Chairwoman of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour praised and highly appreciated the contributions made by the staffs and employees of Vietnam Electricity to social security activities, joining hands for the community, including the work of civil service house for teachers in the mountainous area of Quang Tri Province.
