Scorching heat has caused electricity demand to surge, placing heavy pressure on efforts to ensure power supply. To keep electricity flowing smoothly for daily life and production, electrical workers are braving the blazing sun to carry out on-site operations, inspect, and repair the power grid. Below are some images compiled by evn.com.vn over the two days of 25–26 May 2026.

In the final days of May, intense heat has been affecting northern and central Vietnam. In the photo: In Quang Ninh at noon on 26 May, outdoor temperature was measured at nearly 60°C.

To ensure a safe and stable electricity supply and reliable grid operation during the hot season, EVN has required its units to regularly inspect and maintain power grid systems, ensuring safe and efficient power supply, minimizing local overloads and grid incidents that could lead to power interruptions.

During peak hot weather, units do not suspend or reduce electricity supply for repair or upgrade work. Accordingly, modern hotline technology is being used by units to ensure a reliable supply for customers. In the photo: Staff of Quang Ninh Power Company carrying out hotline operations on 26 May.

Power sector staff have been mobilized for 24/7 standby duty, ready to perform tasks to ensure electricity supply during the hot season. In the photo: Staff of Yen My Power Unit under Hung Yen Power Company working through lunch break to handle an incident on 26 May.

Despite scorching heat of nearly 40°C on 25 May, Bac Ninh Power Company’s staff remained steadfast on grid, striving to keep electricity flowing smoothly and safely.

Alongside maintaining a stable power supply, power companies are also actively communicating with local residents about protecting high-voltage grid safety corridors and using electricity safely and efficiently.
