At the 1st Autumn Fair 2025, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) introduced a series of outstanding digital transformation solutions, affirming its pioneering role in modernizing the power sector.

Within the framework of the 1st Autumn Fair 2025, EVN presented a range of scientific and technological products. Highlights included: A 500kV power transformer model and various electrical equipment produced by Dong Anh Electrical Equipment Corporation (EEMC); Single-phase and three-phase electronic meters; The Nexatus solar power monitoring and control device; And the remote data collection and management system developed by the Central Power Electronic Measurement Equipment Manufacturing Center (CPCEMEC) under the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC).

Mr. Truong Nhan Khoi introduces EVN’s digital transformation solutions at the 1st Autumn Fair 2025

Series of digital transformation solutions for grid management and operation

One of EVN’s most prominent technological innovations is the electronic meter, first researched and successfully manufactured by PC3 Computer Center (now CPCEMEC under EVNCPC). Electronic meters have been deployed across the Central and Central Highlands regions since 2003.

By 2023, EVNCPC had applied 100% electronic meters for nearly 5 million customers, with an online data transmission rate approaching 100%. This innovation has significantly improved labor productivity across the power sector and also provides households and businesses with transparent, real-time information on electricity consumption, allowing users to easily track and manage their energy usage through multiple digital platforms.

At the 1st Autumn Fair 2025, CPCEMEC also showcased another notable technology product - the SRFI Fault Indication System for medium-voltage grids.

The SRFI system can connect to the SCADA network at power company control centers via the IEC 60870-5-104 protocol. The devices can be easily installed directly on live lines using insulating poles, eliminating the need for power interruptions.

The SRFI system detects various types of grid faults and automatically sends SMS alerts to the personnel responsible for grid operation. Fault locations are quickly identified and displayed on GIS maps and SCADA screens, allowing technicians to pinpoint and resolve the issue promptly.

EEMC’s 500kV, 300MVA power transformer

Since its wide deployment in 2015, SRFI has helped reduce outage areas and improve power supply reliability.

Another technological highlight presented at the fair was NEXATUS - a solar rooftop monitoring and control system developed by CPCEMEC.
This solution was successfully researched following the issuance of Decree No. 58/2025/ND-CP by the Government on July 25, 2025, which promotes the development of renewable and new energy sources.

EVN and EEMC also introduced a 500kV, 900MVA power transformer, consisting of three single-phase units (300MVA each). This product is the key outcome of the national-level scientific and technological project “Completion of the Design and Manufacturing Technology for a 500kV-3x300MVA Power Transformer”, led by Dong Anh Electrical Equipment Corporation (EEMC) under the commission of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The project passed national-level acceptance on August 5, 2025, earning high praise for its scientific achievements, practical applications, and commercialization potential.

EVN has since approved its installation on the national grid to help reduce overloads and enhance grid capacity.

Through its participation in the Fair, EVN aims to provide visitors, partners, and businesses with a comprehensive view of its remarkable achievements and contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development, as well as to the nation’s efforts in construction and defense over the years. In addition, EVN showcased a range of products designed and manufactured by its own member units - including 500kV transformers, electrical equipment, and single- and three-phase electronic meters - taking this opportunity to promote EVN-made technologies and strengthen business connections among manufacturers and enterprises in the energy sector.
