Efforts to implement power supply solutions during hot season
The Central Highlands - Central region is entering the peak of the dry season, with extremely hot weather. Many places have recorded temperatures exceeding 38°C. The prolonged heat has caused a sudden increase in electricity demand. In the first five months of 2025, EVNCPC’s total commercial electricity output reached 10,649.89 million kWh, with a peak load of 4,072.5MW.
EVNCPC has implemented a comprehensive set of urgent and long-term measures to ensure electricity supply for both daily life and production activities. For repair and maintenance work, EVNCPC requires units to carefully review plans, arrange reasonable construction time, and strictly comply with the announced power restoration time.
Member power companies increase on-duty forces, prepare adequate supplies and backup equipment, and are ready to ensure rapid incident response and minimize outage time. When an incident occurs, operations must involve the direct participation of the Power Company Director, the leader of the grid operation management team, and the technical, dispatching, and safety departments to ensure effective response and absolute safety for workers.

EVNCPC staff regularly inspect substations and power lines to ensure stable power supply
EVNCPC also increases periodic inspections of power lines and substations, and measures the temperature at the contact points of high-load equipment to detect abnormal heat generation phenomena early, limiting the risk of failures. Substations, low-voltage lines, circuit breakers, connections, etc., are all regularly inspected to proactively prevent situations of abnormally increased load during peak hot days.
Closely manage each operating point
In response to evolving load and weather conditions, EVNCPC has formed a 2025 Power Supply Steering Committee, headed by the President and CEO. Member power companies also established their own Steering Committees at the unit.
EVNCPC also promotes research, innovation, and the application of information technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation solutions in the management, repair, and maintenance of its operations and equipment. Specifically, EVNCPC has applied condition-based maintenance (CBM), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques in equipment maintenance and repair. Thereby, the quality and efficiency of work are improved, equipment operates more safely, and the risk of incidents is minimized.

Power companies under EVNCPC have fully prepared materials and equipment, ready to quickly respond to any arising situations
With proactive and coordinated technical management, combined with the cooperation of residents and businesses in using electricity efficiently and economically, EVNCPC strives to ensure a stable power supply during the peak of the dry season, thereby contributing to sustainable development momentum in the Central Highlands region.
