On May 14, the Ngoc Nam and Kiep Xoan substations under Project 2081 in Tra Tap Commune (Da Nang City) were officially energized and put into operation, bringing national grid electricity to more than 40 local households.
In Ngoc Nam and Kiep Xoan, many households still live in simple wooden houses. In some places, indoor electrical wiring was old and temporarily patched together, posing safety hazards. During the final days of completing the project, Tra My Power Department personnel not only inspected grid operations but also directly guided residents on safe electricity usage and replaced substandard wiring sections.
While electricity has become a familiar part of daily life in the lowlands, for the people in the high-altitude commune of Tra Tap, having stable electricity means children have light to study, and residents can perform daily activities more easily, access information, and gradually improve their living standards.

National grid power successfully supplied to local households
Over the past years, in implementing the investment policy to supply electricity to unelectrified areas, Da Nang Power Company has deployed numerous power grid expansion projects in the Tra My area. Among these, Tra My Power Department has directly taken over the management and operation of most of the post-investment facilities.
With an ever-increasing workload under management and many power lines traversing forests, mountains, and streams, operational work is always under immense pressure. Nevertheless, the highland electricians continue to stay close to the area, inspecting the grid and troubleshooting incidents to keep the power flowing smoothly in the most remote places.
