The comprehensive completion of production, business, and investment tasks assigned by Vietnam Electricity (EVN) for 2025 serves as a premise for the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) to resolutely achieve breakthroughs in 2026.

On January 13th, in Hai Phong, EVNNPC held a conference to summarize its performance in 2025 and implement its plans and tasks for 2026.

Complete all production and business targets.

In 2025, the production, business, and operation of the power grid in the northern region were strongly impacted by extreme weather with 15 typhoons and tropical depressions, including typhoons No. 5 (Kajiki), No. 10 (Bualoi), and No. 11 (Matmo), which caused significant damage, resulting in a high volume of post-storm recovery work. Simultaneously, the load continued to grow strongly, with Pmax reaching 18,977MW (a 9.69% increase), placing higher demands on the operational management capacity and flexibility of the operating management unit.

EVN’s Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of Board of Directors, Dang Hoang An, delivering directive speech.

Overcoming those difficulties, EVNNPC has comprehensively fulfilled its main production and business targets. In 2025, the entire corporation achieved 106.54 billion kWh, an increase of 7.46% compared to 2024, accounting for 37.11% of EVN's total commercial electricity output.

Power supply reliability indicators remained stable; the power loss rate was 3.54%, a decrease of 0.32% compared to that of the same period and better than the assigned plan. Alongside operational tasks, investment and construction work were vigorously implemented with 77 110kV grid projects commenced and 101 220-110kV projects energized, including many key projects such as the Phu Binh 2 220kV substation and the Thai Nguyen – Bac Giang branch line.

Business operations and customer service continue to be strongly digitized, with 99.26% of customers making cashless payments and no complaints about delayed service processing.

Continue to accelerate the modernization of the power grid.

Party Committee Secretary and Chairwoman of Board of Directors of EVNNPC, Do Nguyet Anh, delivering speech.

In 2026, EVNNPC aims to continue modernizing the power grid, ensuring power supply to 17 northern provinces and cities to support socio-economic development with higher growth targets. The focus will be on accelerating technological renovation, modernizing equipment, improving working conditions and environment, and investing in the synchronous development of the power grid infrastructure, while simultaneously implementing the production, business, and investment development plan for the 2026-2030 period, closely aligned with reality and meeting the development requirements of the coming period.
