On October 26, 2026, Quang Tri Power Company officially energized the national power grid to supply electricity to 100% of households in Lom – K. Cham Village, Dan Hoa Commune.
Lom – K. Cham Village, located in Dan Hoa Commune, Quang Tri Province, currently has 108 households with 466 residents, most of whom belong to the May community of the Chut ethnic group. Previously, in mid-June 2025, electricity from the national grid was brought to the Sy area (Hamlet 3) under the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, supplying power to 66 households. However, households in the Lom and K. Cham areas had yet to gain access to the national power grid.
To bring electricity to the remaining households, Quang Tri Power Company implemented the 2026 Medium- and Low-Voltage Grid Improvement Project in the area managed by the Minh Hoa Electricity Management Team, including a component to supply electricity to Lom – K. Cham Village. With a total investment of nearly VND 660 million, the project involved the construction of a new 50kVA, 22/0.4kV distribution transformer substation, low-voltage poles and foundations, and the installation of 798 meters of 0.6kV, 4×70mm² aluminum aerial bundled cable (ABC).

After nearly one month of construction, Minh Hoa Electricity completed the project, including cable installation and electricity meter installation for 42 households: 18 in the Lom area (Hamlet 1) and 24 in the K. Cham area (Hamlet 2). The successful energization has officially ended the lack of national grid electricity in these two areas, bringing the proportion of households in the village with access to the national grid to 100%.
Providing electricity to all households in Lom – K. Cham Village contributes to improving power infrastructure in the mountainous and border areas of Quang Tri Province. It also helps increase access to national grid electricity, meet residential and production needs, and support local socio-economic development.
