“Lighting Up Dreams” in project area of 500kV transmission line

On the evening of May 20, the Youth Union of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) hosted the social welfare program "Lighting Up Dreams." The event took place in Yen Binh District, Yen Bai Province - a locality along the route of the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project.

Co-organizers of the program included the Youth Unions of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MOCST); the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (VCB); Song Da Corporation - JSC; and the Youth Union of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (PVN).

Attending the event from EVN was Mr. Cao Quang Quynh, Member of the EVN Board of Directors, along with leaders of EVN’s specialized departments and affiliated units.

The program aimed to promote the proactive and voluntary spirit of EVN youth members in social welfare activities, contributing youthful energy to fulfilling the corporation’s political missions and supporting the implementation of national key projects. In Yen Bai Province, EVN is currently executing the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project.

In his speech at the program, Mr. Pham Xuan Minh Tri - Secretary of EVN Youth Union - shared that through this initiative, EVN youth and other youth organizations hoped to support local people and disadvantaged households living in the project area toward a better life.

At the same time, the program serves to foster stronger connections and solidarity between local authorities, communities, and units in the Power sector, working together to ensure the success of the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project, thereby contributing to secure and stable power supply and the broader goals of national development.

As part of the program, EVN leaders, representatives of Power Project Management Board 1, and the EVN Youth Union presented meaningful gifts to disadvantaged students who have shown great effort in their studies in Cam Nhan Commune.

On this occasion, the EVN Youth Union also mobilized and coordinated with the Youth Unions of PVN, the National Library of Vietnam (MOCST), and VCB to provide meaningful support to residents in the project area: donating one gratitude house to the family of Mr. Hoang Van Hung in Na Dinh Hamlet, Ngoc Chan Commune – a household in difficult circumstances; donating 300 book titles to Primary and Secondary School No.1 and No.2 in Cam Nhan; and delivering gifts to disadvantaged families.

Earlier the same day, the Youth Union of EVN and Song Da Corporation - JSC presented encouragement gifts to the workforce constructing the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line at location VT470 in Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province. The gesture demonstrated the solidarity and support of youth union members toward engineers and workers dedicatedly working day and night at the construction site.
