At the event, Mr. Thien Thanh Son – Director of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company- called on all employees and youth union members to actively join the movement, each planting and caring for at least one tree, contributing to environmental protection and reducing the impact of climate change.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the leadership board, along with employees and youth union members, planted 300 new trees, including species such as eucalyptus, Taiwan almond trees, and coconut trees.

To date, the company has planted over 20,300 trees along with 102,252m² of ornamental grass, greening an area of 23 hectares around the plant. The selected tree species are drought-resistant and adapted to the harsh climate conditions in Vinh Tan commune.

This practical activity responds to the movement “Tree Planting Festival – Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho” and marks the final year of implementing the joint directive No. 972/CTLT-EVN-CĐĐVN dated March 1, 2021, issued by Vietnam Electricity and Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, aiming to plant and nurture 1 million new trees during the 2021-2025 period.
