The courses will be held continuously from July through December 2026. The teaching staff comprises experts from Lan Thuong – Mekong Energy Consulting Co., Ltd. and China Southern Power Grid, as well as instructors from EVNNPC and NEPC.

The training program places a strong emphasis on hands-on practice, combining theoretical instruction, training on real-world models, and experience with advanced simulation technologies.

In particular, a significant portion of the program is devoted to analyzing real-world scenarios, identifying hazards, and practicing responses to hazardous situations using simulation systems and virtual reality (VR) technology. These scenarios include electric shock, working at height, falls from height, falling objects, and safety harness failure, among others.

At the end of the course, trainees will undergo both theoretical and practical assessments, including assessments conducted on the VR platform and simulation systems.

Trainees practicing at Electrical Safety and Hazard Identification Training Ground at NEPC

On August 6, the Northern Power Corporation inaugurated the Electrical Safety and Hazard Identification Training Ground at the Northern Power College of Electricity. This is the first specialized model of its kind in the power sector, designed to provide safety training for workers directly involved in operating and working with power grids and electrical equipment in both real-world and simulated environments.

The Electrical Safety and Hazard Identification Training Ground project is the result of close collaboration among EVNNPC, NEPC, China Southern Power Grid, and Lan Thuong – Mekong Energy Consulting Co., Ltd.
