The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) requires any power plants directly participating in the competitive electricity generation market to assure infrastructure conditions for serving the power market operation, the license of power supply, electric power contracts with the contract price still in validity so as to participate in the power market in accordance with regulations.
The power plants intending to directly participate in the competitive power generation market in 2018 need to recently accomplish the conditions in accordance with the regulations. The others (intending to be commercially operated in 2018) shall be considered to be supplemented into the list when fully matching necessary conditions.

Also in accordance with the Decision, there will be 21 power plants indirectly participating in the power market in 2018, including EVN’s multi-purpose hydropower plants such as: Hoa Binh, Son La, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, Ialy, Tri An, Huoi Quang, Ban Chat, etc.
