About 1000MW of power generation capacity in the North restored to operation

According to the National Load Dispatch Center, by June 10, the power generation capacity in the North will be improved to some extent and a total of about 1000 MW will be put back into operation.

Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant

The reason behind this improvement is that the failures recently occurred in a number of thermal power plants (such as Quang Ninh, Nghi Son 1, and Thai Binh 2) have been urgently addressed and fixed. In addition, in the past few days, there have been light rains in some mountainous areas and midlands in the North, as a result, some small hydropower reservoirs have water inflows to improve power generation.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Vietnam Electricity are constantly considering and seeking solutions to increase the operation of thermal power plants in order to cope with the shortage of water in large hydropower reservoirs.
