Overview of the meeting between EVN and the delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Singapore
Mr. Tan See Leng discussed the cooperation potential between Singapore and Vietnam in the power grid interconnection area. The leader of Singapore's Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the Singapore side has set up a working group to work with Vietnamese ministries and agencies on the power grid interconnection between the two countries. Singapore's state agencies will support to step by step remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of cooperation as well as the implementation of the pilot project.

EVN has been cooperating with Singapore's Sembcorp Group in many areas such as human resource development, smart grid, renewable energy, etc.
Regarding the grid connection between Vietnam and Singapore, EVN has directed Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company No.2 to coordinate with Sembcorp to prepare a feasibility study for the project. The support of the state management agencies of the two countries is a very important factor in the study and implementation of this cooperation project.
At the meeting, leaders of both sides also expected that by 2035, the grid interconnection between Vietnam and Singapore will be realized, and Singapore will be able to buy electricity from offshore wind power projects in Vietnam.
