Completion of Thai Binh – Kim Dong 220 kV transmission line project

On April 4, 2016, National Power Transmission Corporation in coordination with relevant organizations successfully energized Thai Binh – Kim Dong 220 kV transmission line.

The project is composed of the construction of a new 46.2-km-long double circuit 220 kV transmission line passing Kim Dong, An Thi, Phu Cu districts of Hung Yen province, and Hung Ha and Dong Hung districts of Thai Binh province. 

The completed transmission line, together with the previously completed projects such as Kim Dong 220 kV substation, Thai Binh - Thai Binh TPP 220 kV line and the extension of feeders at Thai Binh 220 kV substation, will ensure to meet the demand for power and strengthen power supply reliability for Hung Yen province. The Project will also contribute to enhancing power supply to loads in Thai Binh and Nam Dinh provinces, etc. 

The total investment cost of the project is nearly VND 524 billion. The project is invested by EVNNPT, and is managed and implemented by Northern Regional Power Project Management Board (NPMB) on behalf of EVNNPT.
