The energization and operation of the 500 kV feeders of the 500kV Pleiku 2 and Cau Bong substations are significantly important in connecting the 500 kV power system and increasing transmission capacity on the four circuits of the 500 kV lines from the Central and Highland regions (through circuits 1, 2 of the North – South 500 kV line and 2 circuits of the 500 kV Pleiku - My Phuoc - Cau Bong transmission line) to supply power for the South; ready for the interconnection with Laos through 200 kV Xekaman 1- Pleiku transmission line to be completed by the end of March 2016.
According to assessment by NPT, the above mentioned result was achieved by the efforts and maximum mobilization of all resources in the direction and management of the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) and effective and timely coordination by Power Transmission Companies 3 and 4.
In particular, a very important contribution to the success of the project was the efforts, both day and night, of the construction contractors during Lunar New Year 2016 (Power Construction Company No 1 and Central Testing Co., Ltd.)
