The seminar was attended by Mr. Ngo Son Hai – Deputy General Director of EVN, Mr. Pham Hong Son – General Director of GE Vietnam; representatives from National Power Transmission Corporation and the National Load Dispatch Center. Representatives from Institute of Energy and Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam (Ministry of Industry and Trade - MOIT) also attend the seminar as invited guests.

Under the framework of cooperation between EVN and GE signed in July 2015, the Presentation aimed to share useful energy-related information, technological products as well state of the art solutions of GE in developing power grid and establishing a competitive electricity wholesale market in Vietnam in the near future.
Speaking at the Seminar, Mr. Ngo Son Hai – Deputy General Director of EVN said that recently the Government has approved detailed design of the competitive electricity wholesale market which expectedly should be officially put into operation in 2019. Then, EVN was assigned by MOIT to build infrastructure system required for developing the competitive electricity wholesale market in Vietnam.
“The presentation of GE on software solutions for operating electricity market is very useful for EVN, which provides EVN with more options to establish the best infrastructure for the electricity market in the coming time”, emphasized Mr. Ngo Son Hai.
