Mr. Jun-ichi Kawaue - Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City (in the middle) has just visited Da Nhim Hydropower Plant
At the meeting, the General Director of DHD thanked the Japanese Government and People for supporting the construction of the existing Da Nhim Hydropower Plant and funding the project of Da Nhim Hydropower Plant expansion by the ODA fund.
Over 53 years of operation, the equipment made in and imported from Japan at Da Nhim Hydropower Plant always meet the technical quality and have high reliability.
DHD, originated from Da Nhim Hydropower Plant (capacity of 160MW) was put into operation since 1964. In 2001, Da Nhim Hydropower Plant was merged with two Hydropower Plants of Ham Thuan (300MW) and Da Mi (175MW) to form the current Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company.
Da Nhim Hydropower Plant alone generated 1.4 billion kWh in 2017 with 8,488 operating hours - a record of operating hours over the past 50 years. This result is “sweet fruit” from the synchronous implementation of solutions in technical management, maintenance and operation of units in the very favorable conditions of the hydrological situation over the last year.
On the Japanese Consulate General side, Mr. Jun-ichi Kawaue also thanked the Company and the Consulting Joint Venture for welcoming the delegation. He expressed his pleasure when knowing that Da Nhim Hydropower Plant is one of the most efficient hydropower plants in Vietnam and its capacity is further expanded.
