Korea Electrical Contractors Association working with EVN

In Ha Noi, EVN’s Deputy General Director Nguyen Tai Anh organized a reception and working session with Korea Electrical Contractors Association (KECA) led by Mr. Ryu Jaeseon, General Director of the Association.

EVN’s Deputy General Director Nguyen Tai Anh said that: The total capacity of Viet Nam’s power system had reached over 45,700MW by the end of 2017, with a diversified power source structure including hydropower, thermal power, renewable energy, etc. Viet Nam’s power system scale currently has been ranked 2nd in Southeast Asia and 30th in the world.

Over the past time, EVN has met the demand for power growth at the rate of over 10%/year, ensuring sufficient energy for the economic, cultural and social development needs of the country.

Korean Electrical Contractors Association working at EVN

Mr. Ryu Jaeseon is very impressed by the development of Viet Nam’s Power sector over the past years and hopes that in the future, the two sides will create many opportunities for cooperation, strengthening bilateral relations.

The Korea Electrical Contractors Association was established in 1960 and has made significant contributions to the development of Korean energy industry. With experience for many years and advanced technology in power project construction, KECA desires to jointly promote Viet Nam’s Power sector for sustainable development.

EVN highly welcomed the participation of KECA in Viet Nam’s electricity market. In the coming time, EVN and KECA can cooperate in two fields: Upgrading and repairing old power plants, works and developing new power projects, particularly renewable energy ones.
