Chairman of EVN Member Council Duong Quang Thanh awarding emulation flags of EVN to units under EVNGENCO 3 with outstanding achievements in 2017
Delivering his keynote speech at the Conference, Chairman of EVN Member Council Duong Quang Thanh appraised the efforts made by all leaders, officials and employees of EVNGENCO3 in successfully completing the tasks assigned in 2017.
In 2018, the asked the Corporation to implement the equitization in line with the approved plan; ensure the safe and stable operation of power plants managed by the units themselves; implement the Project proposal of improving the operation reliability and efficiency of coal-fired thermal power plants; ensure that Vinh Tan 4 and extended Vinh Tan 4 thermal power projects are to be implemented on schedule, in good quality and put into stable operation.
In 2017, the Corporation well completed the assigned tasks, ensured stable and reliable operation, following mobilization method of National Load Dispatch Center.
In particular, the power production output was 33.165 billion kWh, gaining over 100% of the plan. The environmental protection at power plants, especially at coal thermal power plants is ensured.
The power source projects implemented by the Corporation also closely follow EVN's required schedule such as the first generation unit of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal power plant being put into commercial operation from 6 December 2017 (20 days ahead of plan), the second generation unit being installed, tested and surpassing the proposed plan (3 months earlier ahead of the EPC Contract).
In 2018, EVNGENCO 3 shall strive to produce 36.351 billion kWh, an increase of 10.7% compared with 2017. In addition, the planning and construction investment for 4 solar power projects shall be performed, including: Solar power projects at hydropower reservoirs of Buon Kuop (50 MW), Srepok (50 MW) in Dak Lak province, Vinh Tan solar power project (35 MW) in Binh Thuan province, Ninh Phuoc 7 solar power project (200 MW ) in Ninh Thuan province.
For the equitization, the Corporation is expected to implement the Initial Public Offering (IPO) on 9 February 2018; selects strategic investors in Quarter I/2018 and expected to organize the first general meeting of shareholders on 27 April 2018.
