Currently, Con Dao district is being supplied with power from 9 diesel generator sets with a total capacity of 11.82MW; in which the available capacity is 9.7MW. In addition, in the district, there are also a number of rooftop solar power projects such as An Hoi Power Plant with a capacity of 36kWp, Con Dao Power Company’s Operating House with a capacity of 100kWp. In addition, there are 18 customers installing rooftop solar power with an installed capacity of 332kWp.
Con Dao PC is also managing and operating over 56 km of medium voltage lines, 25 km of low voltage lines, 8 substations with a total capacity of 14.5MVA, 126 distribution substations with a total capacity of 22.7MVA, supplying power to 100% of households on the island district.
In the coming time, Con Dao district is expected to welcome many investors; in which there are a number of large and important projects to be implemented such as expanding Con Dao airport, building a new seaport, building a new Con Dao Military Medical Hospital, etc. Therefore, the demand for power will increase sharply.

In the period 2023-2024, it is expected that the power sector will continue to invest in 2 diesel units (capacity of 1,500 kW/unit), implement the project to renovate the medium and low-voltage grid system and the transformer station of An Hoi power plant.
