This is one of the activities under the program: "Youth working together for the community", one of the activities in the Customer Gratitude Month 2021 of EVNHCMC and towards the 67th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Power Sector (December 21, 1954 - December 21, 2021).

In the month of Customer Gratitude in 2021, the Youth Union of EVNHCMC will sponsor the installation of 8 rooftop solar PV systems to support fostering centers, children's houses and shelters in the city, with the desire to contribute to relieving difficulties in these places, assisting the less fortunate children by giving them more faith and energy to rise up in life.
Up to now, EVNHCMC Youth Union has handed over 7 rooftop solar PV systems to the following organizations: Linh Xuan Child Care Center; Light Shelter; Thanh Tam Shelter; Children's House in District 7; SOS Children's Village Go Vap; Binh Chanh Inclusive Education Development Support Center; Ho Chi Minh City Children's Outdoor Activities Center. The rooftop solar power project for Children's House in Tan Binh District will be handed over on 17 December 2021.
During the Customer Gratitude Month 2021, EVNHCMC Youth Union has also implemented many social security activities such as: Coordinating with local authorities to take care of poor employees, policy families, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; constructing, repairing and installing power grids for 50 disadvantaged households free of charge; promoting communication activities to raise awareness of the social community about the safe, economical and efficient use of electricity; awarding 01 scholarship worth VND 25 million to 01 exemplary student for overcoming difficulties and well studying, etc.
