Following the assignment of the province, Lao Cai Power Company provided materials to pour concrete, solidify road and school ground at Khen Pan school (Nam Tha Elementary Semi-boarding School for Ethnic Minority); donated some medical supplies to the COVID-19 prevention and control station in Nam Tha commune; donated 4 55-inch televisions to schools; donated medicine cabinets, benches to the commune health station. The total support value was VND175.6 million.

Nam Tha commune, located nearly 30km from the center of Van Ban district, is a particularly difficult commune of the district, with more than 90% of the population as ethnic minorities, including mainly Mong and Dao ethnic people. In execution of the new countryside construction program, up to now, the commune has met only 9/19 criteria. Therefore, the support of Lao Cai PC is of great significance to motivate the commune to put more effort to overcome difficulties, and soon fulfill the criteria for new countryside construction.
