Handing over high-flow oxygen supply system to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City

On the morning of August 26, the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City took over and put into use high-flow oxygen supply system, air supply and vacuum system for nearly 400 beds for COVID-19 patient treatment. The project is mainly financed by a number of member organizations of EVN, with a total value of more than VND 8.5 billion.

Leaders of the Party Committee of Grassroots Sector of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City and representatives of sponsors handed over the air supply project to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City.

Under the initiative of the Party Committee of Grassroots Sector of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City, three member organizations of EVN including the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC), Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO 3), and Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC 2) have financed the project as the main sponsors.

High flow oxygen supply system, air supply and vacuum system at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City include a liquid oxygen tank with a volume of 26m3 and a distribution system to meet the hospital's oxygen demand; an air compressor system with capacity sufficient for 88 air clusters in Infected Areas A, D and backup for other infected areas of the hospital.

The project has been completed, handed over to the hospital and put into operation after 1 month of survey, design and construction in successive forms. This great effort has been jointly made by 3 member organizations under EVN together with contractors. The Power Plant Service Company (EPS - under EVNGENCO 3) has actively supported manpower during the construction process.

Previously, in early August, the Party Committee of the Grassroots Sector of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City and sponsors including EVNSPC, EVNGENCO 3 and PECC 2 donated oxygen supply and vacuum system for 504 hospital beds at the COVID-19 Resuscitation Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, with a total value of more than VND 4.3 billion.
