This was a very important factor to create resources for business production activities of businesses and people. The employees of power sector attentively remedied power accidents in the quickest manner in order to secure uninterrupted electricity supply for production activities and daily life of the people.
Sixthly, EVN had well performed the rural electrification obligation in rural, mountainous areas and islands. Currently, Viet Nam has supplied electricity to 99.98% of communes and 98.83% of rural households, completing taking over and operating power systems on the Spratly Islands.
Seventhly, EVN had enthusiastically participated in rural supporting, social security and new rural construction activities, displaying its role and responsibility for the community development.
With the aim of successfully accomplishing the 2018 objectives, I would like to emphasize some of the tasks that need to be implemented by EVN in the coming year:
Firstly, to well perform the electricity supply and advise the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Government in developing power generation master plans.
Secondly, to keep enhancing the corporate restructuring, improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and competitiveness.

Fifthly, to develop in parallel with environmental protection; absolutely not invest in projects that fail to meet environmental standards; advise the Government on appropriate technologies to ensure the economic efficiency and environmental effectiveness; pay attention to coordination with the concerned important ministries in the study of waste treatment for thermal power plants (ash and cinder).
Sixthly, to develop human resources, take care of physical and spiritual life of employees; participate in charity and social activities, especially support the people in the localities where EVN’s investment projects are located. To build EVN corporate culture as serving for the people.
