'Digital transformation of EVN's Organization and Personnel section - Transformation from awareness to action'

This is the topic of an online conference chaired by the Organization and Personnel Department of Vietnam Electricity on the morning of August 26. The conference was attended by nearly 1,000 delegates who are officials and experts from the organization and personnel sections at member organizations of EVN.

Important mission

EVN's Organization and Personnel Department has been assigned to stand on the Working Group No.1 - Digital Transformation in corporate governance of Vietnam Electricity.

Currently, EVN's Organization and Personnel Department has digitized 47 professional processes and operations in 6 working areas under its charge. In addition, it has completed building a tool to send notifications to employees' emails and phones about their due dates for salary increase consideration, retirement, etc.; completed developing and implementing a timekeeping - grading module applied at Vietnam ElectricityHeadquarters; integrated HRMS system with EVNCA's internal digital signing system to be applied on a number of professional processes. The completion of an assessment tool of the application of data entry on HRMS and implementation of monthly assessment; upgrading infrastructure, configuring HRMS software system and processes of building lectures, setting up training courses, taking exams on E-learning software, etc. have also been effectively performed by EVN's Organization and Personnel Department.

Active involvement of member organizations is needed

In order to well implement digital transformation in this area, the Director of Organization and PersonnelDepartment of EVN have suggested that the Organization and Personnel divisions of level 2 units implement the following main task groups:

Digitizing data: the units should review, standardize, strictly comply with regulations on updating, managing and using data on HRMS software.

Digitizing professional processes: the units must review all their operations in the field of organization and personnel; clarify the operations that have been proceduralized (with workflow charts), the operations that have been/are being digitized, and implementation plans.

Electronicizing and standardizing reporting forms: Organization and Personnel Departments of corporations should standardize and electronicize their reporting forms in the area of organization and personnel to be applied to their subsidiaries (on the basis of EVN's forms); Organization and Personnel sections of corporations and their subsidiaries should implement electronic reporting in accordance with EVN's regulations.

Awareness training on digital transformation: the units need to actively and proactively organize training and other forms of communication to transform the perception of employees in the field of organization and personnel, with the aim of becoming a leading team in digital transformation in corporate governance. In addition, the units should actively improve E-learning lectures in various fields, carry out training programs as planned, especially promoting online learning through the E-learning software or supporting applications such as Zoom-meeting, Team-meeting, etc.
