EVN Supported the Central provinces VND 7 billion to Remedy Damages Caused by the Storm and Flood

This is the result from mobilizing all employees of Vietnam Electricity to support the Central provinces affected by the storm and flood.

In the morning of December 1, in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Van Ngang – Vice Chairman of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Director of the Labor Golden Heart Fund received VND 500 million to support the people in the flood region through the Labor Golden Heart Fund. This is part of the fund mobilized from the employees of Vietnam Electricity and donated by the EVN Trade Union on behalf of the employees.

In response to the appeal by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for supporting the central provinces to remedy damage caused by storm and flood, the Vietnam Electricity has launched a donation of one day of wage per person in the entire organization. All the units under EVN contributed a total amount of VND 7.1 billion, of which direct support to central provinces was more than VND 4.7 billion, the rest was given through organizations such as the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of all levels, Provincial Labor Confederation and the Labor Golden Heart Fund.

Also from this source of support, the EVN Trade Union visited its employees living in the flood region and donated an amount of VND 750 million.
