The Vietnam Electricity Trade Union organized a Conference on 11 October 2024 in Hanoi to summarize the emulation movement "Not only good at work but also duteous at home" from 2019 to 2024 and commend outstanding female employees for the third time in 2024.

Nearly 500 solutions and initiatives
Currently, female workers in Vietnam Electricity (EVN) are 20,661, accounting for 20.62% of the total number of staff and employees.
Female workers are present in almost all fields of power generation, transmission, distribution business, design consultant, mechanics, etc. Of these, the number of female workers in the power distribution business accounts for up to 70% of the total number of female workers.
In the past 5 years, 5,429 female employees have achieved the title of grassroots emulation fighter, over 2,071 people have received Certificates of Merit from EVN and units; 21 female employees were awarded the Labor Medal, etc.

At the "Creative EVN Women" Contest (held every 2 years) in the past 5 years, nearly 500 solutions and initiatives of women through this program have been applied to the production and business of the unit, bringing benefits to thousands of billions of VND. These include the solution "Building a centralized notification system to customers" by authors Pham Ngoc Tra My, and Le Thi Phi Hoang of the Central Power Corporation; the Initiative "Building a software program to calculate and support the 400V power grid phase balancing work to reduce power loss and prevent overloading of distribution transformers" by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Minh, Nguyen Thi Hien Luong, Trinh Thi Thu Hien of the Northern Power Corporation; International Partner Management software by Ms. Bui Tra Nha Truc, Le Thi Luyen, Le Trong Thien Huong, Le Mai Phuong, Nguyen Bich Tram of the Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation, etc. In the environmental field, many women have had initiatives to "reduce slag dust" - Vinh Tan Thermal Power Plant or "Natural bird garden" - Pha Lai Thermal Power Plant, etc.
In addition, the "10 thousand initiatives" program launched by the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union and Vietnam Electricity (EVN) from 14 February 2022 to 31 August 2023 had 12,931 initiatives, including hundreds of initiatives by female workers in the units. Notably, the initiative "Building low-voltage grid management software to ensure stable grid operation and reduce power loss" by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Specialist of Electricity Purchase and Sale Inspection and Supervision Department, Hai Phong Power Company Limited, Northern Power Corporation has made a profit of up to 10 billion VND, etc.
Actively studying, creatively working, building happy families
The Conference honored 75 outstanding female cadres for the third time in 2024. Individuals with excellent achievements have promoted the spirit of innovation and creativity in trade union work, especially in women's activities, affirming the role and contribution of female union cadres at all levels in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of female union members and workers.
Within the program, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union also awarded 23 collectives and 50 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement "Not only good at work but also duteous at home" from 2019 to 2024.
