The session was chaired by Mr. Tran Viet Anh, Director of EVN’s Organization and Human Resources Department, and Ms. Yang Guangyu, Deputy Head of Human Resources at CSG.
Mr. Tran Viet Anh, Director of EVN’s Organization and Human Resources Department, delivering opening remarks
In the opening remarks, Mr. Tran Viet Anh highlighted that this meeting is a continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between EVN and CSG in 2022. The first thematic meeting between the organization and human resources departments of EVN and CSG took place online in early 2023, as the world was still grappling with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. This gathering marks the first opportunity for both sides to meet in person and discuss directly at EVN's headquarters.
Mr. Tran Viet Anh emphasized that EVN is deeply aware of the critical importance of maintaining a high-caliber workforce that is both adaptable and prepared to meet new challenges. Achieving this requires not only effective recruitment but also a strong focus on comprehensive training, professional development, and the creation of a healthy working environment that fosters creativity. Throughout this process, EVN places great value on collaboration and learning from international partners like CSG.
Ms. Yang Guangyu, Deputy Head of Human Resources at CSG, speaking at event
Ms. Yang Guangyu expressed that this meeting provides an excellent opportunity for both parties to reflect on their achievements and for their respective organization and human resources teams to learn from each other’s experiences. This, in turn, will enable them to advise their leadership on developing specific strategies and plans to enhance organizational and human resources development.
During the meeting, experts in organizational and human resources development from both EVN and CSG presented their organizational structures and engaged in in-depth discussions on various topics, including general management practices, organizational structure, party organization, personnel management, training, performance evaluation, commend a reward, and salary.
Following the agenda, the CSG delegation extended sharing experience with the team of Human Resource Development from National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO).
Although the meeting lasted only one day, it was highly productive, with both sides expressing a desire to make this exchange of experiences in organizational and human resources management an annual tradition. This will allow EVN and CSG to continue sharing best practices and lessons learned in their respective fields.

EVN is continuously striving to assert its pioneering role in Vietnam's electricity sector. One of the key pillars of its success has been its effective human resources development. With a workforce of 96,130 employees as of July 2024, managing such a large and cohesive team is no real challenge. However, through unity, effort, and strategic human resources policies, EVN has built a highly-skilled, ethically grounded, and dedicated workforce, always ready to contribute to the organization’s overarching goals.
