EVN extensively cooperating with VNPT in many fields

On 25 October 2019, in Hanoi, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) organized a Preliminary Review Meeting of one year implementing their cooperation agreement and signed the minutes of handing over VNPT E-Cabinet software to EVN.

Making speech at the meeting, both EVN’s Chairman of Board Duong Quang Thanh and VNPT’s Chairman of Board Tran Manh Hung highly appreciated the excellent cooperation results achieved by the two parties in the past years.

On 19 September 2018, EVN and VNPT signed a Cooperation Agreement. On this basis, the two parties have actively performed their cooperation in various fields.

Specifically, VNPT has signed many contracts on providing services to EVN and its subsidiaries, such as: Providing customer-care services through messages to Northern Power Corporation and Southern Power Corporation; providing Vinaphone mobile subscriber membership to Southern Power Corporation and Ho Chi Minh Power Corporation; providing telemetry SIM, reclosers to power units in 63 provinces and cities, etc.

The Groups’ departments regularly exchange experiences and provide support to each other in their professional performance. VNPT’s experts have provided support and consultation to EVN Information and Communication Company (EVNICT) on solutions for Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and solutions to develop EVN’s Cloud.

EVN has provided stable and reliable power supply for VNPT's management, production and business activities in all regions of the country; shared its technical infrastructure with VNPT, etc.

At the meeting, VNPT's General Director Pham Duc Long expressed his impression at EVN's effective application of IT and their dramatic digital transmission in management and business activities. He also said VNPT was ready to accompany EVN in further implementing the digital transmission.

The Groups’ leaders also exchanged opinion on their potential to coordinate in providing power meters and solutions for collecting data of power meters; sharing telecommunications and IT infrastructure as well as researching plans to develop an ecosystem to share data and add value to existing data of the two groups.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the two Groups also signed minutes of handing over VNPT E-Cabinet software to EVN. VNPT's E-Cabinet (non-paper meeting room), which is highly appreciated by many units in the country for its quality and quite suitable to EVN’s need. Up to now, VNPT has completely transferred and installed the software to EVN in October 2019.
