During the period 2010 - 2019, the entire Group contributed to, supported projects and well performed many social security activities with a total value of nearly VND 960 billion, specifically: supporting 03 poor districts of Lai Chau province (Phong Tho, Than Uyen, Tan Uyen) according to Resolution 30a of the Government; supporting school construction, medical support, implementing many projects of schools combined with natural disaster prevention in many localities; supporting the construction of nearly 1,000 gratitude houses and many schools in many localities across the country; assisting the local authorities and local people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, storms and floods in many localities; sponsoring the construction of a multi-purpose cultural house on Da Lon C island in the Truong Sa archipelago, worth VND 35 billion, and also donating many essential supplies and equipment to serve the military and people on islands in Truong Sa island district. Supporting, sponsoring, and coordinating with Vietnam Television and the Vietnamese Heart Foundation to successfully implement more than 600 "Vietnamese Faith" charity eye surgeries for people in difficult circumstances in some local areas; carrying out nurturing activities for over 100 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; supporting the poor, policy families, families with meritorious services to the revolution; visiting and giving gifts to many veterans and families of martyrs in many localities.
Trade unions at all levels have also coordinated with professional organizations to perform caring activities for employees, sharing difficulties, and providing welfare such as vacations, health care, and participating in creating jobs; annually organizing the "Tet Reunion" Program, "Trade Union Shelter", etc.

Over the past two years, although Vietnam Electricity has encountered many difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, in the spirit of actively sharing the difficulties of electricity customers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, quarantine facilities, medical facilities fighting and preventing the pandemic, EVN promptly reported to the Prime Minister and Ministries to get permission for performing electricity price and electricity bill discounts in 5 times in 2020 and 2021 with a total amount of more than VND 15,300 billion.
