In particular, solar power output was 2.31 billion kWh, an increase of 28 times in comparison with that of the same period in 2019.
According to EVN, the reason is that dozens of large-scale solar power projects were put into commercial operation by 30th June 2019, maintaining stable operation so far.
Along with other mobilized sources such as coal-fired and oil-fired thermal power, etc., the mobilization of 2.76 billion kWh generated by renewable energy sources contributes to supporting EVN in ensuring its safe and stable power supply, meeting the power demand for production, business and daily activities of people in localities.
In the second quarter of 2020, EVN is about to further focus on constructing power source and grid projects as planned. Particularly, these items of Phuoc Thai 1 Solar Power Plant project, including: line energization, 220kV transmission lines and transformer stations, equipment installation and tests will be completed in May 2020, striving towards power generation in July 2020, etc.
Regarding power grids, the units will closely cooperate with localities in solving problems of site clearance, focusing on implementing the solutions to accelerate the construction progress of works, particularly ones serving power supply in the dry season and ones releasing the capacity of renewable energy sources in the South.
