EVNHANOI donates VND1.5 billion for COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control

Recently, Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) has awarded a total amount of VND1.5 billion to support prevention and control of COVID-19 in Hanoi and some localities and hospitals severely affected by the pandemic.

EVNHANOI's General Director Nguyen Danh Duyen said that, responding to the 2nd call "All people participate in supporting prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic" of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, EVNHANOI decided to deduct VND1.5 billion from the contribution of EVNHANOI staff and employees to help localities have more resources and funds to buy vaccines, ventilators and medical appliances and materials; to support for isolation areas, treatment of severe patients and to mobilize frontline forces in disease prevention and control.

In which, the Corporation supports Hanoi city and Bac Giang province with an amount of VND500 million/locality; Bac Ninh province with VND300 million; K Hospital (Tan Trieu facility) and Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases (Kim Chung facility) with an amount of VND100 million/unit.

In addition, other member units of EVNHANOI also conducted donation and supporting activities for prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a total amount of nearly VND500 million.

Recently, due to complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in the capital, EVNHANOI has proactively coordinated with hospitals and medical facilities in the area to agree on a streamlined power supply plan, prioritize a safe, stable and continuous power supply for hospitals and medical facilities, especially hospitals and medical facilities that receive, accept to monitor and treat isolated patients suspected of being infected and infected with COVID-19 in the capital area.
