In 2018, EVNHCMC has developed a plan to renovate 110 kV power substations, replace old equipment operated in many years, newly replace control systems, upgrade lightning prevention systems on power lines for Hi-tech zone and IPV.

EVNHCMC has completed the construction of the 110kV underground cable system as the third power source for IPV to be put into operation in Quarter  I/2018 so as to increase the power supply reliability for IPV.

According to Mr. Fabian Eaguilar Leiton - Director of IPV's services department, in 2017, the quality of power supplied to IPV was secured to be increasingly better. Over the past year, only 2 incidents occurred (6 incidents in 2016), including 1 incident due to lightning strike and the other due to people’s violating the power grid safety corridor outside the Plant area.

Mrs. Lee Soo Hoi - IPV’s General Director thanked EVNHCMC for its stable power supply to the Company and said that the quality of power supply was one of the factors for Intel Corporation to consider expanding their production in Vietnam.
