With the view to meeting the power consumption demand in the 2017dry season, EVNHCMC has synchronously carried out solutions to improve the power network reliability.
In view of that, EVNHCMC has worked out an optimal operation mode so that the over-loaded or under-loaded status of power lines and transformers can be avoided; fulfilling totally voltage level upgrading for the medium voltage network from 15 kV to 22 kV; developing and executing a plan of no planned outages in the downtown area of the city (District 1 and District 3); accelerating the implementation schedule of unmanned substation projects.
At the same time, the Corporation has vigorously developed a workforce who can perform live – line working on energized medium voltage power lines to work on the distribution network; strengthening the effectiveness of fault detection and warning equipment; establishing a proper and scientific construction time schedule, etc.
EVNHCMC has studied, constructed and completed the power network in the way that one customer is supplied electricity from two different sources (two different 110 kV transformers); developed scenarios of power network operation and distribution under normal system operation conditions and under situations that the system is short of 10% of generation outputs and system capacity; cooperated with customers in conducting measures to ease the power consumption demand such as shifting production time to normal and off-peak hours, shifting production days from weekdays to weekends (Saturdays, Sundays, etc.).
In the customer service works, the Corporation has intensified education of sense of responsibility for each employee in addressing customer’s inquiries; maintaining and improving work quality of the fast reaction working group to quickly deal with customers’ claims. In particular, EVHCMC shall strictly act towards persons who are accountable for causing loss of safety, faults on the power system due to subjective causes in managing, operating and constructing power projects, etc.
