The Organization Committee launched the campaign
Representatives from the Organization Committee, sponsors, ambassadors of the campaign together with more than 1000 volunteers joined a cycling roadshow on several streets in the Hanoi’s centre; taking a walk parade around Hoan Kiem lake in order to improve the public awareness of power saving, environmental protection, and to spread the message “Lights off to turn on the future” of the Earth Hour 2017 campaign.
“On behalf of the Organization Committee, I would like to sincerely thank volunteers, ambassadors of the campaign, representatives of the main sponsor Vietnam Electricity for your enthusiastic participation in the event despite the unfavorable weather conditions in order to jointly call on the communities to save energy and protect the environment, etc.” shared Mr. Trinh Quoc Vu.
Singer Tung Duong said that this is the third time he is honored to join the Earth Hour campaign as an ambassador. In addition to spreading the message broadly to the communities, singer Tung Duong himself responds to the Earth Hour campaign in his everyday life by practical actions including power saving, water saving, disuse of plastic bags, riding bicycle at least once a week, etc.
