The Contractor shall undertake replacement of all damaged equipment due to the fire incident occurred at Vinh Tan 4 thermal power project

According to the latest information from the Power Generation Corporation No.3 (EVNGENCO 3), Doosan (South Korea) - the construction contractor - undertakes all responsibility for the fire happened on March 7th at Vinh Tan 4 thermal power project construction site, shall replace all the equipment that were damaged due to the fire and put the greatest efforts to accomplish the project on schedule.

On March 9^th, 2017, an inter-ministerial investigation mission of Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Public Security conducted a scene investigation after a fire occurred at Vinh Tan 4 thermal power project construction site.

Via the scene investigation, sampling and working with relevant parties (Vietnam Electricity, Power Generation Corporation No.3, Vinh Tan Thermal Power Project Management Board, EPC Contractor Consortium), the mission and the relevant parties agreed to withdraw from the scene and give it back to the project management board and contractors to take remedial actions, overcome consequences and get the construction process back on track.

At the same time, the inter-ministerial investigation mission requested that the Project Owner and the Contractor should review their safety processes, procedures and regulations to ensure safety during construction process and avoid similar incidents in the future.

The two Doosan workers who suffered from burn while trying to put out the fire are well recovering now.
